SDAU Hosts the Launching Ceremony of the Agricultural Technology Training for Officers of Baringo County, Kenya

On November 11, the opening ceremony of the Agricultural Technology Training for Officers of Baringo County, Kenya was held at Shandong Agricultural University. This training aims to strengthen Sino-Kenyan agricultural cooperation, assist Kenya in enhancing its agricultural capabilities, and put the Belt and Road Initiative into practice. Suo Ruonan, Deputy Director of the African Division of the African Affairs Division, Office of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee, Gao Liming, Vice President of Shandong Agricultural University, and Risper Jepkemboi Chepkonga, Minister for Agriculture in Baringo County Government in Kenya, attended and delivered speeches, with seven agricultural specialists participating.



Gao Liming introduced that the courses were closely tailored to local needs, representing a concrete practice in deepening Sino-African agricultural technology cooperation. Suo Ruonan stated that this training marked an important milestone in the expansion of bilateral cooperation. Chepkonga expressed gratitude for the learning opportunity and was determined to improve her skills and bring back advanced experience. During the opening ceremony, Suo Ruonan presented solar media as gifts.



Organized by Shandong Agricultural University, this 13-day training program will conduct teaching in various aspects such as wheat breeding and corn cultivation through on-site instruction and field visits, enabling participants to comprehensively enhance their agricultural technology skills.
