On October 23, George Teibert, Vice President of Chiyama University, and Kate Arrold, Director of the International Department of Chiyama University visited the university. Vice President Lin Hai met the guests and had a discussion and exchange.

Lin Hai extended a warm welcome to George Taibert and his delegation and introduced the school's history, discipline construction and international cooperation. He said that Edge Hill University is one of the largest public universities in the United Kingdom, and Shandong Agricultural University is a century-old institution of higher learning. It is hoped that the two universities will carry out practical cooperation in such fields as biology, food science and economics, strengthen personnel exchanges, carry out joint training of students, jointly build scientific and educational cooperation platforms, constantly innovate exchange forms and expand cooperation areas, and jointly write a new chapter in education, exchanges and cooperation between China and the UK.

George Teibert highly praised the cultural heritage and disciplinary strength of the university, and introduced the situation of Zhishan University in terms of school history, school characteristics, faculty Settings, scientific research, etc., and looked forward to further developing and implementing various forms of cooperation and exchanges between the two universities.

During the exchange and discussion session, the two sides fully discussed curriculum co-construction, mutual visits of teachers and students, postgraduate training and other contents, and signed a memorandum of understanding between Shandong Agricultural University and Zhishan University in the UK.

During the visit, the delegation made a recruitment presentation for undergraduates majoring in land resources and management and visited the national key Laboratory of wheat breeding.

The International Cooperation and Exchange Office, the College of Resources and Environment, and the National Key Laboratory of Wheat Breeding participated in the activity.
