The national key research and development program "Innovation and Industrialization of Green Slow-ControlledRelease Fertilizer and Stable Fertilizer" Project is initiated

The project initiation symposium of "Innovation and Industrialization of Green Slow-Controlled Release Fertilizer and Stable Fertilizer", a National Key Research and Development Program, was held in Shandong Agricultural University on March 4th, 2023. The symposium invited the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the People's Republic of China, Department of Science & Technology of Shandong Province and 7 project consulting experts, including Zhou Wei (the academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and Professor of the Institute of Agricultural Resources and Regional Planning, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences)and et al. Leng Changjian, President of Shandong Agricultural University, made a speech of welcome at the symposium and issued the appointment certificates to the members of project consulting experts. Li Xiangdong, Vice President of Shandong Agricultural University, presided over the symposium.

Leng Changjian welcomed the leaders and experts attending the symposium and thanked them for their long-term support for the development of Shandong Agricultural University. He introduced the school's history and relevant information, focusing on the development achievements in talent training, scientific research and social services.


Professor Yang Yuechao, the chief scientist of the project and professor of the School of Resources and Environment of our university, reported the overall situation of the project, including the background, research objectives and contents, schedule, expected results, assessment indicators, work basis and project progress.

As the only project of slow-controlled release fertilizer and stable fertilizer in the National Key Research and Development Program of the "14th Five Year Plan", Shandong Agricultural University has cooperated with Institute of Applied Ecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences; Institute of Soil Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences; the Institute of Agricultural Resources and Regional Planning, Beijing Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences; NDFY Science and Technology Co., Ltd.; YONFER Agricultural Science and Technology Co., Ltd.; Kingenta Ecological Engineering Group Co., Ltd.; Stanley Agricultural Group Co., Ltd. and Shenyang Zhongke New Fertilizer Co., Ltd.. The project will develop a series of new products for crop specialization and functionalization, research and develop the technology of precise fertilization sites, fertilization amount, informatization and mechanization. We are committed to tackling and achieving breakthroughs in solving the problems of cumbersome recommendation of fertilizer dosage and the mismatch of nutrient supply and demand in time and space.
