The discipline of agriculture and forestry among QS top 200

On April 6th, QS Global Education Group released the 12th World University Discipline Rankings. The discipline of agriculture and forestry of SDAU ranked among top 200. It is also the only discipline among colleges and universities in Shandong Province to be among QS top 200.

QS World University Rankings is one of the four most credible and representative university rankings in the world. Its ranking criteria are mainly based on four key indicators: Academic reputation, Employer reputation, Research citations per paper and H-index. The rankings of this time span 5 academic fields and 51 disciplines, and makes an independent comparative analysis on the performance of more than 15,200 university disciplines around the world. 93 universities in the mainland are on the list, and the number only lags behind UK and USA. In China, Peking University has the largest number of disciplines on the list, with a total of 45, Zhejiang University has 37 and Tsinghua University has 36, ranking among the top three.

Among colleges and universities in Shandong Province, 13 disciplines of Shandong University ranked top 500, and 1 discipline of China Ocean University and 1 discipline of China University of Petroleum (East China) ranked top 500.
