On November 25th, the College of International Exchange holds the second session of the sixth joint management committee, which was held at Tai’ an, China and Essen, Germany via online video. Professor Li Xiangdong, director and vice chancellor of the management committee, Dr. Bai Xiaole, deputy director of the management committee and executive Chancellor of FOM University in Germany, members of the joint management committee, and representatives of the management teams of both schools attended the meeting as nonvoting delegates. This meeting was presided over by Xie Shengli, member of the management committee and director of the Academic Affairs Office of the college.

 First, Vice Chancellor Li Xiangdong gave an opening speech. Chancellor Bai Xiaole then spoke highly of the stability of the teaching order of the College of international exchange during the epidemic, gave thanks to all teachers and students for their efforts. Meanwhile, he interpreted solutions to the German digital teaching, and made a positive outlook on the institutional development in the post epidemic era.

 Vice Chancellor Li Xiangdong put forward suggestions on the high-quality development of Sino-foreign cooperative education in the post-EPIDEMIC era. He pointed that our assertive decisions are to help each other forward and to achieve win-win cooperation. Our common goals mean that we focus on the connotation construction, deepen cooperation as well as promote the quality of what we cultivated. He emphasized that the two sides need to make joint efforts in the following three aspects: First, we are determined to grasp the new stages of development and deal with the opportunities and challenges facing the Sino-foreign cooperative education confront in an active manner. Second, we need to implement the new development thought and deepen the reform of education and teaching, promote development featuring innovation, coordination, green, openness, and shared by all. Third, we seek to engage in the new development landscape and pursue deeper and wider cooperation, further high-quality development. He pointed out that both sides should continue to bear the open and inclusive concept in mind, make active endeavors to achieve the common educational goals and take initial to add luster to the development of the educational cause.

   The conference of the joint management committee of the College of international exchange is an important annual meeting for both Chinese and German schools to fully implement the school running agreement, report the main achievements of the school running and discuss the future development since the establishment of the committee. This session completed eight agenda items and reached a consensus on the main tasks of the committee in the coming year, the management of the whole process of running the school, the future development direction, and other topics, which achieved a complete success.
