Recently, the Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) announced the annual evaluation results. 74 projects of SDAU were funded, including 1 outstanding young scholar science foundation project, 37 general projects and 36 youth projects, with a total fund of 31.75 million yuan. Compared with the same period last year, the number of approved projects increased by 8, and the number of youth projects increased by 14. The total number of approved youth projects also reached the highest level in the past three years.

The Mechanism and Regulation of Fruit Quality Formation and Maintenance project led by Professor Dagang Hu, a young teacher from College of Horticulture Science and Engineering, was funded by the National Science Foundation for Outstanding Young Scholars with a fund of 2 million yuan.
