Recently, the first National Teaching Innovation Competition for College Teachers came to a close in Fudan University, Shanghai. Professor Xiujuan Wang from College of Public Administration won the second prize with excellent performance, which was also one of the best two results achieved by universities from Shandong Province.
This competition is one of the competitions approved by the Ministry of Education and included in the List of Reserved Items for the Three Evaluations and One Competition of Institutions directly Affiliated to the Ministry of Education. It is the only teaching competition for university teachers in the list of current projects. Since its official launch in October 2020, it has received wide attention and enthusiastic participation from universities across the country. The competition consists of professor group, associate professor group, lecturer group, and teaching assistant group. A total of 50,386 teachers from 1,071 universities across the country participated in the school competition, 12,625 teachers participated in the provincial (regional and municipal) competition, covering 13 disciplines, and 198 teams from across the country participated in the national final in Fudan University. Universities from Shandong Province won 2 second prizes and 7 third prizes in this contest.
The teaching team of Principles of Management (Bilingual), led by Professor Xiujuan Wang, won the first prize in the Teaching Innovation Competition for College Teachers in Shandong Province in April 2021, and was recommended to participate in the national final of the first Teaching Innovation Competition for College Teachers. In the final, Professor Xiujuan Wang, on behalf of the team, reported the innovative reform and practice of the multi-modal bilingual teaching of the competing course Principles of Management (Bilingual), which combined OBE with PDCA.
