Regulating mechanism of plant stem cell remodeling and maintenance

    This achievement has made an important breakthrough in analyzing the mechanism of plant stem cell formation and maintenance, and provides an important theoretical basis for the establishment of efficient regeneration and genetic transformation systems for crops, trees, fruits, and flowers. The research results have produced considerable influence at home and abroad, and have played an important role in enhancing Chinese academic status in this field and in the development of Chinese plant biotechnology industry.

    Plant sexual reproduction is the basis of population reproduction and crop yield formation, involving multiple complex processes, and the occurrence of male and female gametophytes is the prerequisite for sexual reproduction. This result provides an in-depth analysis of the key regulatory pathways for the occurrence of male and female gametophytes, and has important theoretical and practical value for understanding the rules of plant fertility formation as well as the regulatory factors of crop yield.

    This achievement innovated the breeding technology of peanut in drought-resistant, water-saving and high-yield synergistic improvement, and bred 6 new drought-resistant, water-saving, high-yield and high-quality peanut varieties such as Shanhua No. 9 and Shanhua No. 7. These varieties met different production conditions and market needs, were promoted in 89.784 million mu of farmlands in the north, increased the production by 304.856 million kilograms, yielded 15.36 billion yuan in social and economic benefits and made outstanding contributions to the development of the peanut industry and oil safety.

Creation and application of modified plant raw materials coated slow and controlled release fertilizer

    This achievement clarified the film forming principle of plant-derived membrane materials, broke through 3 key modification technologies, and provided technical support for the efficient use of plant-derived membrane materials. The creation of key coating technology equipment has realized the technological leap of industrial production of plant-derived coated slow and controlled release fertilizers replacing petrochemical coated slow and controlled release fertilizers. A series of special fertilizers for crops and their high-efficiency application techniques have been created and applied on a large scale with remarkable results.

Study on the pathogenic mechanism of duck Tambusu virus and the development of vaccine

    The achievement clarified the pathogen, transmission route and pathogenic mechanism of duck Tambusu virus, developed key prevention and control products and technical systems, established precise detection technology, and achieved prevention and control theoretical innovation and key technological breakthroughs. The application of the results has controlled the prevalence of Tambusu virus disease effectively and provided technical support for the healthy development of the duck industry in China.

Key technologies and equipment for mechanized sowing and harvesting of garlic

Leading researcher: Prof. Jialin Hou

    Aiming at the key technical problems of garlic seeding and harvesting mechanization, this achievement has developed and applied 8 seeders and 15 harvesters. It filled the gap in garlic bud seeding and combined harvesting equipment, established the leading position of domestic garlic machinery, and made important contributions to realize the whole process of garlic mechanization and increase farmers' income.
