The President of the University of Salamanca and His Delegation Visit Our University

SDAU Media, April 23 — On April 22, Juan Corchado, Rector of the University of Salamanca, leads a delegation to visit Shandong Agricultural University (SDAU). Leng Changjian, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of SDAU, meets with the guests, and Vice President Lin Hai chairs the symposium.

Leng Changjian extends a warm welcome to Juan Corchado and his delegation. He states that the University of Salamanca is one of the oldest institutions of higher learning in Europe, with profound academic heritage and a far-reaching international reputation. He notes that the two universities enjoy strong disciplinary complementarity, with huge potential and broad prospects for cooperation in key areas such as agronomy and information science. He expresses the hope that both sides will focus on disciplines including agronomy, life sciences, animal science, and computer science, and carry out more exchanges and cooperation in areas such as joint talent cultivation and collaborative scientific research.

Juan Corchado thanks SDAU for the gracious invitation and thoughtful reception, and introduces his university’s international student training model and internationalization experience. He says that the University of Salamanca has always attached great importance to exchanges with Chinese universities, fully recognizes the high-quality educational achievements and comprehensive development strength of Shandong Agricultural University, and hopes to implement substantive cooperation with SDAU as soon as possible, so that the two sides can join hands to achieve complementary advantages and mutual benefit.

During the visit, Juan Corchado and his delegation visit the university’s Cryo-Electron Microscopy Center and the laboratory of Georgios Papadakis, a member of the Academia Europaea.
