Recently, the 26th China Annual Conference & Expo for International Education was held in Beijing, with Minister of Education Huai Jinpeng attending the opening ceremony and delivering a speech. The conference featured a plenary session and multiple parallel forums. Vice President Lin Hai of SDAU and European Academy of Sciences Academician Georgios Papadakis were invited to attend the China-Europe Forum on Innovation in Educational and Scientific Research Cooperation and deliver special reports.

Lin Hai introduced the progress of the China-CEEC Modern Agricultural Science and Education Innovation Alliance. The alliance was officially established in October 2024, with 65 relevant institutions from Central and Eastern European countries joining, becoming an important platform for agricultural science and education cooperation serving the Belt and Road Initiative. It has successfully held two annual conferences, and Lin Hai also invited Chinese and foreign guests to attend the third annual conference at SDAU during its 120th anniversary celebrations in 2026.

During the thematic discussion session, Georgios Papadakis shared the achievements of the China-Central and Eastern European Countries Digital Agriculture Innovation Platform, which received wide recognition from experts. During the forum, Lin Hai and Georgios Papadakis also had in-depth exchanges with leaders of educational and scientific research institutions from countries such as Romania, Bulgaria, and Serbia on the future development of the alliance and inter-school cooperation.
