On September 24th, the opening ceremony for the 2025 Sino-foreign cooperative education program between Shandong Agricultural University and the Royal Agricultural University in the UK was held at the Panhe Campus. Vice President Lin Hai attended and delivered a speech, while Peter McCaffery, the President of the Royal Agricultural University, addressed the ceremony online.

Lin Hai reviewed the 119-year history of the university and its achievements in striving for first-rate status. He welcomed the new students to join the SDAU family and encouraged them to aim high, integrate their personal aspirations into the grand endeavor of building China into an agricultural powerhouse, devote themselves to study, adapt to the Sino-foreign cooperative education model, strengthen their physical fitness, and lay a solid foundation for shouldering the mission in the future. Peter McCaffery commended the two universities' fruitful 20-year cooperation, calling it an important practice in addressing global challenges and building a platform for mutual exchange of agricultural wisdom and joint cultivation of innovative talents. He encouraged the new students to make full use of the resources of both campuses, enhance their qualities, and contribute their youthful vigor to the sustainable development of global agriculture.
Current student Shi Yixun shared his learning experience, new student Lu Yifan expressed his determination to shoulder the mission, and parent representative Jiang Jingjing conveyed trust and best wishes. Officials from various departments of the university, faculty representatives from both universities, and the 2025 incoming class attended the ceremony.
